
A growing pet peeve I have about new showers is the installation of round drains. Hmmmm … let’s see …. square tiles with a round drain? Even with some of my best installers, it is very difficult to cut a round hole through a set of 4 or more tiles. Usually the edges are rough and grout is used to conceal the imperfections. The sample here is from my own shower (hey, I bought the house this way).
For new shower installations, I use square drains from Ebbe America. They come in many colors and are easy to remove for access to the drainage system for cleaning. Below is a sample.
